WORK IN WELLINGTON. (Bv Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 21. The economists, Professors Hight, Belshaw and Tocker, have left Wellington, having completed as far ns possible in the time at their disposal a tentative survey of the economic and financial position. It is understood that they intend to review their conclusions during the holidays and submit a report to the Prime Minister in the first week in. January, covering the basic factors of the situation as they see it. Their commission is not necessarily ended, ns the Government may require an economic survey to ho continued for Cabinet’s guidance if there are any substantial changes in price conditions.
