Belying the hopes that unemployment was declining, tho unemployed during the first half of December increased by 249,000 to 5,604,000. Cabinet has approved of an agreement between the lteichshank and the Ministries of Finance and Economics to provide Herr Gereke (Commissioner for Unemployment) with 500,000,000 marks for the immediate provision of work.
