SALVATION ARMY.

A large number of tiny tots were entertained at the Salvation Army Hall during the week at a Christmas tree and party, many of the children being accompanied by their mothers. Miss Cobb and her willing band of assistants had a busy time attending to the various duties entailed. Games and children’s fun were proceeded with for the early part of the afternoon, followed by afternoon tea to which the little guests addressed themselves in commendable earnestness. Just as the tea was being concluded, Father Christmas appealed in all his majesty and began to dispense the gifts from tho heavily laden Christmas tree. It was a splendid sight. The hall was nicely decorated lor the occasion and Miss Cobb and her attendants are to be congratulated upon the splendid organisation.
