FEILDING.
HIGH SCHOOL ASSEMBLY HALL. The recent issue of the Feilding Agricultural High School magazine. "The Sheaf,” contained an editorial under the caption of “The Future of the Assembly Hall.” The article was written bv Miss Gladys Bealing, a pupil of the school, and in concise and illustrative text set out very clearly the aims and ambitions of the school in regard to the provision of an assembly hall. The appeal made was not long in producing results, for yesterday Mr L. J. Wild, principal of the school, announced the receipt of a £5 5s donation from an anonymous friend of the school towards the hall fund.

Elliott, son of Airs L. A. Elliott, of West Street, was successful in the LL.B. examinations, passing in the following four subjects: Law of Torts. Criminal Law, Company' Law, and Law of Bankruptcv and Law of Trusts and Wills, etc. H. R. C. A\ ild, of Feiiding. passed in four subjects: Property. Torts, Criminal Law and Company and Bankruptcy. P. C. Alilcs, of AYest Street, passed iu Law of Property and Law of Trust and AA'ills. PR ESENTATTON TO PLT • N K FT NURSE. At the conclusion of the meeting of the Feilding Plunket Society Committee on Tuesday afternoon, the opportunity was taken to make a presentation to Nurse Armstrong. In mak-
ing the presentation, the Alayoress, Mrs C. E. Taylor, spoke of the appre- ; ciation of the committee for the good work of the nurse, and asked her acceptance of a primrose bowl, and wished her an enjoyable vacation. Miss Armstrong suitably replied. Little Loton Alawhinney then handed her a dainty bouquet of shaded pink sweet peas. Aliss E. Shortall spoke of the good work of the nurse, and eulogised their popular president, Airs Jenkinson, for the very great interest she took in the work of the society. SUCCESSFUL CARD PARTY. J Another success was achieved by the weekly card party held in the Fores- I j tors’ Hall in aid of the freezing work- , ers’ relief fund. In the card competitions Airs Pearson came first and | Airs Reid second, Air E. Fisher first ! and Air Imrie second. Lucky mini- I bers were won by Airs Evans and Air j Alarsden. Prizes for novelty dances were won by Aliss Anderson and All - ' J. Ividner and the Alonte Carlo waltz j by Aliss Watts and Air Cameron.
NOTES. The secretary of the Feilding Aero Club announced yesterday that Sir Charles Kingsford Smith will include Feilding in his New Zealand itinerary.
