CHARGE AT CHRISTCHURCH
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 22. Two employees of an insurance company were charged to-day with the theft of nearly £11,500, the property of the company. They were Clarence Alfred Rainier, aged 30, and Walter Vernon Wiseman, aged 33. The police stated that the men had been in the employ of the company for 15 years. Palmer was cashier and Wiseman chief clerk. The alleged thefts began in 1924 in a. systematic fashion, as much as £2554 being taken in one year alone. The case is proceeding.
