PREFERENCE BY COLONIES. (British Official Wireless). Received December 22, 10.20 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 21. Asked whether, in view of the opinions expressed by various Chambers of Commerce, the Government would now enter upon a policy designed to abrogate the existing treaties and enable all the colonies to give effective preference to Britain, Major Colville said that it was proposed to consult tho organisations representing trade generally ns soon as the relevant facts could be put before them.
