AUSTRALIAN WOOL.
LARGE PURCHASES BY JAPAN. SYDNEY Dec. 21. Leading businessmen who returned to Sydney to-day from the East declared that Japan was now one of the largest buyers of Australian wool. They estimated that her purchases would soon reach a million bales a vear. , They were convinced that Japans influence would soon lead to prosperity in Manchuria, which presently would bo needing Australian wool in the same proportion as Japan.
