ENTERTAINMENTS

At 10.30 to-morrow morning the Regent Theatre will hold a special session for children, styled “Mickey’s Christmas Party.” There will bo a specially selected juvenile programme, and each child will receive a piece of the huge cake specially made for the occasion. “Congorilla,” depicting the thrilling adventures of Mr and Mrs Martin Johnson during their travels in Central Africa, the land of the gorillas and pygmies, opens tomorrow afternoon at the Regent Theatre. The first sound picture ever to he made in the wilds of Central Africa, it brings the native noises of the jungle, such as tho screeching of tho gorilla, the bellowing of tho hippo and the harking of the zebra to you in their natural form. “Love Affair,” a sparkling story of modern youth, supports the main feature, “Tho Menace,” at the Rosy Theatre tomorrow. Edgar Wallace has written many mystery thrillers, one of the best being “Tho Feathered Serpent,” and it is from the latter that “The Menace” has been taken. H. B. Warner heads a practically all-English cast. George Barraud and Bonita Hume run tho whole gamut of domestic quarrels and estrangements as screen man and wife before an original and daring plan on the part of the husband brings about a happy ending. This Paramount British film. “Women WfTo Play,” which shows at the Palace Theatre opening at 2 p.m. to-mor-row, contains one of the most gripping and dramatic situations ever conceived by a playwright.
