William Drummond, a young casual inmate of Launceston (Cornwall) Public Assistance Institution, attempted suicide by swallowing a collar-stud, a safety-pin, a broken needle, and five buttons. Ho recovered after a week in hospital, and was sentenced by the Launceston magistrates to a month’s imprisonment for the attempt. Undoubtedly one of the greatest thrills j’ou can give the kiddies is to bring them to the Magic Cave where they will receive a gift from Father Christmas. There is heaps of fun in the cave. Beautiful lighting effects, merry-go-round, electric train, waterfall, etc. Open daily 10 to 12, 2.30 to 4.30 (except Wednesday).
