DAIRYING INDUSTRY.

STABILISING BUTTER PRICES. Advice has been received in Auckland (says the Star) that a unanimous resolution, in favour of the stabilisation scheme for the local butter market was passed by eleven Taranaki dairy companies, aggregating 5000 tons of butter, at New Plymouth. Mr A. J. Sinclair, tlie instigator of the scheme, was specially invited to Taranaki to address this meeting, and the reception of the scheme is said to be typical of the almost universal support being given by dairy companies. To date just over fifty factories, aggregating 35,000 tons of butter, have pledged themselves to support this move.
