THE WEATHER
GENERAL FORECAST. Pressure has remained high to the east and low to the west of New Zealand. A disturbance on the Tasman Sea appears to have been losing intensity. Moderate to strong northerly to north-westerly winds, backing shortly to southerly. Seas rather rough south of Cape Egmont and offi shore south of Castlepoint; elsewhere moderate in New Zealand waters. Moderate to strong north-west to south-west winds in the eastern Tasman Sea, with rather rough seas. Weather changeable with scattered showers, but some heavy falls probable in districts with a westerly aspect. Temperatures beco ning cooler.
