ANGLO-PERSIAN OIL DISPUTE. CALCUTTA, Dec. 24. Official circles at Delhi state that the Anglo-Persian oil dispute has taken a turn for the better", and there is reason to hope that it will be settled amicably without the intervention of the League of Nations. The tone of diplomatic exohanges has returned to the normal friendly character, and anti-British demonstrations at Teheran have ceased. Abdul Hussein Teymourtasche, who was the Shah’s right-hand man and the Court Minister responsible for the Anglo-Persian oil dispute, lias been dismissed. It is reported that the Shah is dissatisfied with Teymourtasche’s handling of the oil question.
