MANAWATU RACES.
WESTBURY HANDICAP. WON BY NAVAHO. The Jlanawaui races were continued at Awapuni this afternoon. There was a field of six in the \\ estbury Handicap in which Good Hunting (£532) was made favourite from Navaho (£308). The pair were quickly out in front from Acron, with Lady Court next in attendance as they raced on to the course proper. Tho field raced at two-length intervals for the full journey, Good Hunting and Navaho turning for home ahead of Acron and Lady Court with Nebulae and White Squall on terms in behind. Over the final pinch the favourite stopped badly and Navaho drew away to win by a length from Acron. with the favourite another half a length behind. Tho local representative, Nchulac, failed to secure a run in the straight and was second last to finish. WESTBURY HANDICAP, of 100 sovs: second horse 20 sovs. and third 10 sovs. Six furlongs. 2 Mr B.
