OIL AND CATTLE EXCHANGE.
CANADA AND RUSSIA. Received Decemher 29, 1.20 p.m WINNIPEG, Dec. 28. Tho united approval of the prairie cattle and hides industry is greeting the proposal to trade 100,000 dairy ca.ttle for Soviet oil and coal. Under tho plan Moscow gives a syndicate bonds at 7 per cent., and the Canadian Government is being asked to underwrite these up to 60 per cent., permitting tho syndicate to spend a million dollars for cattle. On the arrival of the oil and the coal the Government will be reimbursed. The plan is staled only to he awaiting Ottawa’s approval.
