ENTERTAINMENTS

TALENTED BOYS COMING. PRESENTING A BIG REVUE. Carrying their own scenery, properties, and an accompanying ten-piece orchestra, as well as a crack band of thirty instrumentalists, tbo Y.A.L. Boys will present their big rovuo, “The Sleeping Camp,” at the Opera House, Palmerston North, on Saturday next at 8 p.m., and also on Monday. at 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 2.30 and 8 o’clock. Tbo famo of tlie Y.A.L. boys has spread all over the world. Somo idea of the quality of the entertainment offered may be gauged from reading tlie following letter from the Lord Mayor of Sydney to Sir Heaton Rhodes, tbo Dominion president of the Y.A.L. Tbo letter stales: “It was iny very great pleasuro to witness the performance which was given by the Young Australia League Boys at tbo Savoy Theatre in Sydney, and I was certainly amazed at tbo versatility which was displayed throughout the wholo production. One could, perhaps, bo pardoned for lack of desire to listen to a band composed of a number of juniors but, to my mind, the performance was unsurpassed in our city for sheer musical ability. I understand these lads will mako a tour of New Zealand shortly whore performances will ho given in aid of hospitals and relief funds, and I can assure the people of New Zealand that in attending tlio performance presented by the boys they will not only bo helping a good causo but they will get entertainment value equal to any high class professional adult performance.” The box plan 13 now open at tbo Central Booking Office whore seals may be reserved.
