IMPERIAL AIRWAYS.

SUCCESS OF AFRICAN ROUTE

(British Official 'Wireless.) Received December 29, 11.45 a.m. RL'GB'l, Dec. 28. Sir Eric Gedd.es, clrairman of Imperial Airways, Ltd., left London yesterday on a flying visit to the stations on the London-Capetown air route. Pie will visit Rome en route in order to discuss with the Italian authorities questions arising out of the operations of international air services.

The Imperial Airways African route lias been operated with great success, the traffic during the past three months increasing by approximately 50 per cent. The air mail is flying with a reliability of 99 per cent, in the northern sections of the African route and 100 per cent, in the south.
