NEW GUINEA FLYING TRAGEDY

SYDNEY, Dec. 28. A message from Port Moresby, New Guinea, states that a Moth aeroplane, the property of New Guinea Airways, crashed while taking olf from \Yau yesterday, and fell 50 feet. The pilot. Mr Drayton, was crushed to death by the engine, and an American passenger, Mr L. Harper (or Taylor) was burned to death in view of Iris wife anti child.

The American was almost rescued. |>ut one of his feet became entangled in the wreckage, and the flames spread so rapidly that the rescuers were driven off and the victim was left to his fate.
