ARAPUNI POWER STATION.
OPERATING SATISFACTORILY. AUCKLAND, Dec. 29. The power station at Arapuni is operating satisfactorily, according to a statement made by the district electrical engineer, Mr T. MacLennan. Three units were working. Mr MacLennan said a certain amount of corrosion had occurred through pumice and sand finding its way into the turbines. Worn parts were being replaced by means of welding.
