MOUNT RICHARDS ROAD.
MT. RICHARDS ROAD, Dec. 29. Miss Eileen Wingato haa returned from Orepuki, Southland, and is spending the Christmas holidays with her- parents “Cairnsmore.” Mrs M. For ong, of Ngaputahi Mount Richards Road, is at present visiting her mother, Mrs Booth, at Otaki. Mrs T Murdoch, of Kimbolton, returned home on Wednesday. She, . with her two small children, has been visiting her father, Mr .T II Duffy, Mount Richards Road. Mrs Cut field, and Mr and Mrs J. H. Stevens, of Palmerston North, have been the guests of Mrs B. Stevens, ‘Maharn,' during Christmas. , , Farmers would welcome a light shower of rain, to stimulate the growth of their newlv-sown crops. Though, for some days, rain-clouds have been hovering about the mountains,, no shower has yet fallen Jura
