ADDBESS-IN-REPLY DEBATE

Owing- to the introduction of private Bills in_ the House of Representatives yesterday, comparatively little time was devoted to the Addr'ess-in-Reply debate, and no division was reached on either of the amendments moved by the Leader of the Opposition and Mr R. A. .Wright. A Bill to amend the Summer Time Act, extending the scope of the present measure, was given its first reading. The House also discussed a proposed amendment to the "Workers* Compensation Act, designed to alter the method of computing compensation to meet the position of relief workers and others.
