FLOODS IN AUSTRALIA.
HOUSES UNDER AA’ATER. Received October 4, 10.55 a.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 4. Flood waters descended on Cunnedah last night when the Namoi River burst its banks close to Main Street, flooding the lower portion of the town. Dozens of houses were under water and boats were busy taking the people to higher ground. An undetermined number of sheep and cattle were drowned.
