They declared that neither Republicans nor Democrats can be counted on to further the aims or advance the conditions of labour. MINERS ON STRIKE. ORDER TO RETURN. WASHINGTON, Oct. 2. One hundred thousand striking miners from the “captive” mines have been ordered to return to work to-morrow by the union leaders. The order followed the agreement of the steel corporations owning mines to accept the union in everything but name.
