SHEFFIELD STEEL PRODUCTION.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 3,
The Master Cutler of Sheffield, Mr C. J. Walsh, stated, to-day that since the beginning of the year. a gradual but definite improvement in the steel trade had taken place. Sheffield, he said, was producing much more steel than in pre-war days, and about 27,00 C tons monthly more than last year. Sheffield unemployed had decreased by 10,000 in the last 12 months.
