RANGITIKEI.
MARTON. Oct. 4,
Tho management committee of the Rangitikoi Rugby Union met last evening, Mr A. T. Gatrcll presiding. The treasurer presented a statement ot accounts showing that tho season had closed with a credit balance of just over £23, or a profit on the year’s working of £5. Mr W. E. Thomson paid a tribute to tho work of the secretary and treasurer during a difficult year and he moved that tho former be granted a bonus of £2 10s and tho latter £1 ss. The resolution was carried unanimously and Messrs Williams and Abel replied. A vote of thanks was accorded the president and Mrs Gatrell for tho splendid manner in which they had attended to the wearing apparel of the union, which enabled the representative players to go on tho playing fields in a neat and tidy appearance. A garden fete held in the grounds of the Presbyterian Maori Girls’ College, yesterday, resulted in the sum of £45 being raised.
