MUSIC EXAMINATIONS. The following are tlie passes gained by the Convent pupils in the Trinity College practical pianoforte examinations held in Feilding on Friday last: Intermediate grade.—Annie Conlon 79 marks, -Kathleen Hopping 77, Leigh Pownall 74, Betty Sporle 71, Helen Wells 70. . Junior division.- —Patricia Carrigan 78, .Beverley Reid 74, Beth Little 71. First steps.—Margaret Pollock 80 (honours), James Fair 74. Further results will be published in November. The following were Mrs Harford’s pupils in the preparatory grade.— Ivis Donaldson ¥2 marks, Oma Feakins 72. COMMERCIAL EXAMINATIONS. Pupils of the Feilding Convent who succeeded in the May examinations of a Sydney business college were as under: — Junior Division. —Patricia Sporle 98 marks, Olive Sporle 96, Frances O’Connor 98, Muriel O’Reilly 96, Phoebe Byrnes 94, Merla Beauchamp 87, Theda Beauchamp 82, Sylvie Smith 84, Margaret O’Neil 98. The Spetember examinations resulted as follow: V Intermediate Division. Patricia
Sporle 98 marks, Olive Sporle 98, Margaret O’Neil 96, Sylvie Smith 91, Muriel O’R-eilly 93. PING PONG., The Aorangi Ping Pong Club celebrated the end of the season with a tournament and dance at Aorangi. The tourney was the largest held there this season and was a great success. Mr G. Fitzgerald acted as liandicapper, providing good games and exciting finals. The finals resulted as follow : —Ladies, Miss J. Cheetham played off with Miss N. Price, Miss Cheetham winning. Men, M. Mason Durie played off with W. Dunn, Durie winning. After the tourney dancing was indulged in until a late hour terminating a very successful evening. NOTES. Mr Elliott, departmental inspector of dental clinics, paid his official visit of inspection to the Feilding schools’ dental clinic yesterday and reported everything in very satisfactory order. The Feilding Bowling Club will he sending a rink to the opening days of the Oroua and Foxton Bowling Clubs on Saturday afternoon. Yesterday afternoon, a rink from the club journeyed to Marton for the opening of the dub there and report a very enjoyable outing. .
