AFRICAN CHIEF.
RE-INSTATEMENT MADE.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 4. : Tsliekedi, acting-chief of the Bain-' angwato tribe in Bechuanaland, was formally reinstated to Serowe to-day. In pronouncing his reinstatement, Admiral Evans, acting High Commissioner, who recently ordered his suspension, read to a gathering of tribesmen a message from Tsliekedi. No ceremonial rite attended the reinstatement following which Tshekedi discussed with Admiral Evans the possibility of the chief visiting London to meet the Dominions Secretary, Mr J. H. Thomas.
