Y.M.C.A. GYMNASTIC CARNIVAL.
Once again the classes of the Palmerston North Y.M.C.A. come before the public in presenting their 11th annual gymnastic carnival. To those who have seen the past stagings of those displays no recommendation is required, but there is a largo section of the community who have not had the privilege of witnessing these performances. To them we commend them as one of the best entertainments ever put before the public of Palmerston North. Three hundred and forty enthusiastic young people of our own city will take part in this year’s big carnival, for which the Opera House has been booked for Friday, Saturday and Monday, 13th, Nth and 16th October. For weeks past all classes have been working assiduously under the directorship of Mr C. Woods to make this year’s performance the best and brightest yet. No effort has been spared in all classes, from the small boys and girlj to. the senior ladies and men, in making this carnival not only different, but even moPo spectacular. Those who arc expecting to see a of former displays will see the sajne health and physical prowess displayed in a series of twenty items containing new thrills, more spectacular calisthenic work, and lighting and colour that will be the crowning glory of this performance. All sections are catered for —file lovers of physical grace and beauty, those with an artistic sense fol - colour,. and those who thrill to see grace and" daintiness combined in rhythmic dancing. As the Opera House was packed for the three nights’ session last year, patrons are advised to book seats early. Tickets may bo obtained from a.ny Y.M.C.A. member, or from the association’s office in Grey Street. Reserves at Central Booking Office next Wednesday.
