MAGAZINE BANNED.

VICTORIA COLLEGE PRODUCTION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 6. Certain passages contained in the annual Victoria University College review, The Spike, which made its appearance last week, have given rise to the Professorial Board issuing a ban on its sale in its present form. Already a large number of copies have been sold within the college, but when certain articles came before the notice of the authorities, further distribution or sale was prohibited. It is understood that three articles in particular have given offence. One, entitled “Untwisted Teaching,” contains criticism directed at the teaching of the law faculty at the college, and the two others make comment on the present social order.
