TANGLED SKEIN
REICHSTAG FIRE TRIAL. THE COURT EMBARRASSED. NO INDICTMENT YET. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received October 7, 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 6. It is reported from Leipzig that at the Reichstag fire trial the irrepressible Dimitroff considerably embarrassed the Court by exposing discrepancies in the marked plan of the Reichstag supposedly found in his room, declaring that he had never seen the plan. . Van der Lubbe likewise denied knowledge of the plan. The Manchester Guardian’s Berlin correspondent says the proceedings at the Reichstag fire trial are increasingly difficult to unravel, especially a realisation of what the prosecution hopes or intends to prove. The indictment has not yet been produced, probably because it is intended to alter it according to circumstances. It is believed it will finally consist of charges the prosecution hopes to prove.
