OVATION FOR GENERAL.AN AMPLE PROTECTION. Received October 9, 12.10 p.m. DUBLIN, Oct. 8. Fifty armed troops anti 100 police attended General O’Dufl’y’s meeting at Castelbar and (juickly quelled attempts to create disturbances without inflicting serious injury. General O’Duffy, with his head bandaged, had a great ovation when he declared that efforts were necessary to suppress mob law. Among the precautions taken at the meeting were two armoured cars and mounting machine guns.
