SEAPLANE SPEED.
ITALIAN CLAIMS RECORD. Received October 9, 11.25 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 8. Flying a 2500 horsepower Macclii Fiat seaplane, Colonel Fassinelli claims that he achieved 025 kilometres an hour at Ancona, breaking the previous record of Flight-Lieutenant Bootlunan of 551 kilometres an hour made at Spithead in 1931. It is officially stated that Colonel Fassinelli averaged 395.35 miles an hour.
