NEW ZEALAND BOXER.
RETURN FROM AUSTRALIA. WELLINGTON, Oct. 6. The Greymouth professional middleweight boxer, Harry Lister, passed through Wellington on his return home after spending about 18 months in Australia. Lister said he had 25 bouts in Australia, winning 21 and drawing in another. He had defeated Johnny Condon, Victorian middleweight champion. Lister said he did not know a great deal about the amateurs, but while in Brisbane he had sparred with L. Cook, who beat It. Purdie, New Zealand’s Olympic representative in . the boxing tests on Wednesday night. He met the New Zealand team before leaving Brisbane and had expected them to do better against the Australians than the first night’s results indicated.
