MILSON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) MILSON, Oct. 7. The fortnightly card evening arranged by the Milson Progressiva Association was hold in the hall last evening, -the attendance being slightly below the average. Mr H. Dowhurst and Mr L. Bartlett :' had charge of tho arrangements. Mrs S. - Pepper and Mrs O. Calloson were tho winners of the two special prizes donated by Messrs J. R. McKenzie, Ltd., of Palmerston North, whilst Mrs E. Donaldson and Mrs Condor won tho two prizes contributed by the association. Members of the social committee served a light supper. Ideal weather has been .experienced for the opening week pf the Milson Tennis Club, and good use has . been made of the courts. Many new members have been enrolled and the membership promises to exceed ■ that of last season. . Indications point to a very successful period for the club. Vacancies on the committee , havebeen, filled by the olection of Mrs R Dunn and Miss' R. Fairburn.
