DARWIN, Oct. 8. A young New Zealander, Joseph Vivian McGrath, who escaped from the Fanny Bay gaol over a week ago, continues to elude the police in a mangrove swamp three miles away. Over fifty black trackers and other natives are searching, but the unemployed and sympathisers of McGrath are said to be helping him with surreptitious food supplies.
