A return to northwesterly winds and mild weather • is, therefore, to be expected shortly. Forecast: Moderate southerly winds, veering gradually to north-westerlies. Some showers at first on the coast, but weather mainly fair and cool. Seas rather rough. MANAWATU RIVER GAUGE. Noon. —3ft.
