55,000 WELL-ARMED MEN. Received June 26, 11.45 a.m. HENDAYE; June 25. The rebel vanguard entered the Santander province to-day and made contact with the Basque troops at Valmaseda, eight miles from the seaport of C'astro Urdialcs, which is ihe insurgents’ first important objective. The J bisque army at Santander numbers 55,000 well trained and well armed militiamen. Factories are working night and day making munitions. Ail able-bodied persons are digging trenches.
