PALMERSTON NORTH BEAT FEILDING. The curtain-raiser to the big match on the oval was provided by the teams of the Palmerston North Boys’ High School and Feilding Boys’ High ."school, who met in continuation of tiie third grade competition. The football-was of a bright order, with the city team always a little the stronger. F’eilding put up a game light and were seen in many good movements, but they lacked the thrust of their opponents. The score was IG—3, the scorers for Palmerston North being AYvclierley, Howejjl -and Shields. Board converted two oF . the tries and kicked a penalty goal. Preston scored an unconverted try for Feilding.
