LINTON

(From Our Own Correspondent.) LINTON, June 28. A very successful social evening was held m the hall by tho Young Farmers’ Club, visitors were present from Pnlmct-ston North, Pahiatua, and Opiki. Mr J. Hight carried out the duties of M.C. Among those present were Mcsdamcs T. i.yncli, black lace; McMuhon, black satin; t\islmowsky, black and blue crepe; Algie, wine lace; Harrison, blue crepe suede; Misses V. Hix, black georgette; Matson, pink crepe; N. Davies, pink lace; K. Terry, pink lace; F. Heard, florali taffeta; D. litigious, white georgette; S. Young, ilaine georgette and gold tinsel stripe; IS. Hall (Kairanga), blue satin; Wolfsbacur, black satin; F. Greatorox, pink net; F. Oreatorcx, gold ciro satin; B. Currin, green and silver cioquc Crepe; L. llix, blue Moral lalfcta; N. Davies, blue crcpe-de-cliine; Joy Hallman, blue lloral georgette; M. Hallman, red georgette;. M. Crowe, blue tuffeta; M. Carr, iloi'al voile.

Mr and Mrs J. Craw, accompanied by Mr R. Batchclar, have relurned to Akaroa. Miss Nancy Davies, of Hawke’s Bay, is tho guest of Mr and Mrs T. Lynch. Mr and Airs Gilliland spent tho week-end in Woodville. Miss E. Cave, of Wellington, is. the guest of Airs Irvine. Miss K. Terry is the guest of Alies F. Heard. Mr and-Airs J. Terry have loft to make their homo in the Thames district. Friends of Air 11. 'Thorne will be pleased to learn that he is homo after being several weeks in hospital. All- Francis Gretton and Air Harrowfield arc touring the North Island. Air and .Airs Blvth and Air and AJr3 Tremaine have taken up their residence in Linton. Air and Mrs T. Dunshea have returned from a tour of Auckland and Rotorua. Air and Mrs A'lcßrcarty left on Monday for their annual holiday.
