CHRISTENINGS IN LONDON
Received June 29, 9.20 a.m. LONDON. June 28,
Wearing a driver’s cap, the New Zealand High Commissioner (Mr TV. J Jordan) urove one of the new streamlined locomotives the full length ol King’s Cross platform after it had been christened “Dominion of New Zealand.” . __ He said that the railways of New Zealand were invaluable to land settlement despite their working losses. The respective High Commissioners named the same types of engines for their countries “Union of South Africa” and “Empire of India.”
