MADRID SHELLED.
CROWD PANIC-STRICKEN. MADRID, June 30. Savage fighting culminated in the withdrawal of the insurgents , on the Jarama sector. Shells crashed throughout the night among panic-stricken crowds of people who were strolling in the streets of Madrid on a hot summer evening. The rebels are reported to have advanced some distance toward Santander, supported by a fleet bombardment of tho coastal road.
