TESTS WITH DEPTH CHARGE. Received Julv 22, 10.0 a.m. LONDON, July 21. Rumours at Portland Bill that, during anti-submarine exercises, a depth charge from the destroyer Wolfhound hi*J brought up a German submarine whose commander was interrogated and allowed to proceed, elicited from the Admiralty the explanation that it was a British submarine co-operating in the manoeuvres. The fact that the German submarine U 27 was passing east simultaneously gave rise to the story. .
