CARNARVON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) CARNARVON, July 22.
Mr C. L. Hunter, M.P., addressed about thirty persons in the hall this week. Mr Mansell occupied tile chair. Mr Hunter spoke on the invalidity pensions scheme and banking business, etc., and also answered numerous questions, the chief question interesting those present being in respect to the re-establishment of the school. Messrs Frecklington and Broughton have returned from their tour of Auckland, Rotorua and Taupo. Meeers Clare and Hodge report a very enjoyable trip of 1400 miles, which included a visit to tho Waipoua kauri reserve. Mr and Mrs Scott and Miss Buttress are spending the holidays with relatives here. Miss D. Zajonskowski is staying with Mrs J. Scott. Mrs McKelvie has her mother visiting her at present. The friends of Mr B. Reeve will regret to learn that he has had to again enter hospital,
