TO CLEAN LAMPSHADES.
Lampshades should be taken down when you clear each room. Clean parcinnent shades with a little fine oatmeal, glass ones with toilet eau-de-Cologne, to save any risk of rusting metal fittings. Plain self-coloured silk shades can sometimes be washed. Dip them in warm, soapy water, rinse, shake 'well and hang on the line to dry.
