GERMAN DEFENCE TAX.
PROPORTION OF WAGES. Received July 24, 10.35 a.m. BERLIN, July 23. Herr Hitler lias issued a decree for a special defence • tax. Every man liable for active service with an income tax of over £4 a month will have to pay a proportion of his wages until the age of 45, ranging from 50 per cent, of his income tax in the first three years to' six per cent, thereafter.
