(From Oar Own Correspondent.) UTUWAI. July 23.

There was a full attendance at tho committee meeting of the Women’s Institute. Programmes for the next few months wore planned. It was decided to begin a “golden thread,” Mrs Adlington taking the first in August, while Mrs Hirschbcrg will give a music lecture. The competition for August is for gingernuts, and tho hostesses will be Mcsdames Jensen, McEwen, and Pettigrew. Tho fortnightly euchre and dance evening was well attended. Miss O. Ilcmrr.ings won the ladies’ prize while four tied for the men’s prize, Mr C. Olson winning by tho cut. Dance music was supplied by Mrs Smith and Mrs Osborne.
