NOTES.
A tender from a local contractor has been accepted for the building of a new hostel at the Feilding Agricultural High School, which is expected to cost £SOOO.
The Drill Hall was filled to capacity last evening for the Gathering o’ the Clans, in aid of the Pipe Band Queen, Miss Joy Duncan. Extras were rendered by Mr A. Wright. The novelty dances resulted : Monte Carlo, Miss W. Bell and partner; Lucky Gay Gordon, Miss Anderson and Mr J. Hen-
derson. The holders of the lucky door tickets were Mrs Cox and Mr R. McKay. At the twelfth annual ploughing match of the Patangata, Elsthorpe, Omakere and Districts Ploughing Club, Hawke’s Bay, Mr F. C. Rasmussen, of Halcombe, was second in the A class which carried with it the Hawke’s Bay championship.
