PERSONAL.
Mr A. H. Hansen, chairman of the Tamaki Dairy Company and chairman of the Dannevirke County Council, who has been a patient in the Dannevirke Hospital, having made a good recovery, was able to leave the institution yesterday. Mr C. F. A. Waters, who leaves next week for Wellington on transfer, was tendered a presentation by his fellow members of tne Huia Straight Eight, a musical octette which has become widely known in entertainment circles in the city. As a mark of their appreciation of the guest’s association with the group, he was presented with an onyx and marble inkstand. Mr and Mrs F. J. Oakley, of Palmerston North, who are at present enjoying a holiday in the Commonwealth, recently visited Cairns. Queensland, where they renewed their acquaintanceship with Mr Frank Harper, who was for some years manager of the' Palmerston North branch of the Bank of New Soiith Wales fijid is now stationed at Cairns. Mrs Harper is a cousin of Mrs R. E. Small, of Palmerston North. Mr C. h. Hall, also an ex-manager of the Bank of New South Wales in Palmerston North, is now inspector for Queensland. . * • . ’
