FOXTON BEACH ROAD.
TO BE SEALED BEFORE CHRISTMAS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, July 24. “With regard to Foxton Beach Road, is there any prospect of this work over being Gone ?” a.-krd Air 11. Dawson at a meeting of lhe Fox top Chamber of Commerce. Mr M. K. Pcrreau said that as far as the Foxton Harbour Board was concerned there was no hold-up. The. hoard had done all that was required of it regarding the road and was hopeful that the work wmi.d he put ill hand at an early date. the Harbour Board is in no wav resjionsilile for anv delay.” added Mr Perreau. Mr II Osborne said that ho had been in conversation with the Manawjltu County Council engineer quite recently, and he had been informed that the road would be scaled before next Christmas. Iho counei had a job in hand at Marotin and a. soon as that was finished the men would ko placed on the Beach Road work.
