N.S.W. HOUSING SCHEME.
LOANS AT LOW INTEREST. Received July 26, 11.30 a.m. SYDNEY, July 26. The Prime Minister (Mr B. S. B. Stevens) announced to-day that between 3000 and 4000 new homes a year would be provided by Government aid at relatively low rates of interest and with easy terms of repayment under the Government’s housing scheme. At the present rate of buildings between 5000 and 6000 homes were going up each year without Government aid.
