WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.
YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Trading was fairly active yesterday on the Wellington Stock Exchange, dealings being mostly in industrial and trading issues at firm rates. Government loans showed little change on a good demand, but sellers were not showing. Bank shares remained dull with a weaker tendency. Australian issues were not in demand. National of New Zealand eased to 58s 6d, sellers asking 62s 3d. New Zealand Ordinaries wero wanted'at 43s 7d, sell ers holding for 449, and D mortgage shares romained firm at 28s 6d. Financial and pastoral issues were quiet and unchanged. Brewery issues , attracted little attention, the only inquiries being for New Zealand at 49s 9d, and Tui at 54s 6d. In the miscellaneous section Australian Glass firmed to 935, without response. Broken JHill Pro prietary were traded at 85s to 84s 9d. D.I.U. ordinary advanced to 16s 9d on the announcement of a bonus issue. Other industrial and trading concerns showed little change. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS.
